Hi, I’m William! I’m sure if you’re on this page you may already know a little bit about me, but allow me to fill you in if you don’t. I’ve plied my trade in the media field for more than 5 years now, starting my professional career as a morning show associate producer and growing into the multi-platform producer I am today. I enjoy problem solving and creative, critical thinking. My favorite working environments are collaborative and communicative.

I’m currently employed as the Senior Writer/Producer for the Creative Services team at WPBF 25 (Hearst Television). In my role as Senior Writer/Producer, I create on-air and social media content from pre-production through to delivery. I produce, film and edit content marketing from documentaries to :15 second commercials. I excelled in similar tasks as a Multi-Platform Producer for WFTV (Cox Media Group) in Orlando, before marrying my wife and moving to South Florida!

Formerly a Digital Content Producer at WCBI-TV, the majority of my duties were involved in managing the entire website and social media presence, on my own, through breaking news situations. At WCBI I created an internship program that was successful at turning young candidates into seasoned pros.

I’ve now been nominated for 3 Emmy’s in my career.

As I’m sure you’ve noticed from this site, I’ve created my own creative brand (FolkesMade) as a personal and professional creative outlet. Using my FAA Part 107 license and years of flight experience, I’ve proven myself as an experienced drone pilot.

Before becoming a member of the news team at WCBI and now the creative team at WFTV; I studied communication with concentrations in Broadcasting and Public Relations at Mississippi State University. During my college years I was involved with the Public Relations Society of America, student government, along with other clubs.

Outside of work I’m an avid football (soccer) supporter, specifically for my beloved Tottenham. I absolutely love to eat new dishes at new places, travel across the street and across the globe. Family is everything and Christ comes first in my life.
